Christmas Blessings

We have so many things to be thankful for this Christmas....First we want to say Happy Birthday Jesus. We are thankful for having mommy and daddy, for our families and friends, and most of all for everything that Jesus has blessed us with. Our family is truly blessed that we have a beautiful home and that mommy and daddy were able to put lots of presents under our Christmas tree to give to our family and friends. We know that there are so many less fortunate families out there and so today and everyday, we will remember to always give thanks to God for everything he has blessed us with.

Christmas Eve celebration was held at our Grandma and Grandpa's home this year. We arrived to a house full of Christmas decorations, lots of presents and yummy bbq ribs, ham, and tamales that Grandma cooked. Today is the day that mommy and daddy will let us stay up all night so we can play games, eat lots of yummy food, and then open presents at midnight. We arrived back home around 1:30am. Our Santa tracker was on and we are excitedly anticipating his arrival so we changed into our PJs, placed the cookies and milk for Santa and off to bed we went.

After staying awake past our bedtime, we woke up bright and early Christmas morning (7am) so we can check if Santa stopped by...and guess what? He did. He ate the cookies we left him and drank all the milk! Santa left each of us a gift and filled our stockings with lots of treats. Brianna was excited to have received the Girl Tech Journal she asked for. The best gift of all was the Wii that Santa left us! We always wanted to have a Wii, and thanks to "Santa" we can now enjoy playing all the games it has. Oh...don't worry, we didn't forget to make and get a present for mommy and daddy. We made mommy and daddy a snowflake ornament with our pictures in it! They loved it.

Christmas Day celebration with mommy's family was held at cousin Caitlinn and cousin Chris' new home. Christmas Day was full of sweet deserts, like flan, fruit salads, turon (sweek bananas), cookies and other sinfully fattening snack foods. We stuffed ourselves with Honey Baked ham, lasagna, spaghetti, Portos Meat pies, Pancit, Ribs, and so many other yummy food. The sound of laughter filled the room as we played our yearly Christmas White Elephant game. We had so much fun opening really neat game gifts, as well as some gag gifts, like an onion, a potato, and a toilet paper. That was so funny!

After all the games have been played, it was time for the gift exchange. We are truly lucky that everyone was able to give and receive so many presents this year. It was truly a fun and magical day for all of us. We hope everyone had a very Merry and Blessed Christmas and may the New Year be a prosperous one for all.

Thanksgiving Blessings

Today was a great day to give thanks for everything we have...our family, our friends, good health, and so much more. We celebrated Thanksgiving early by going to dinner with mommy's family last night. Cousin Amilie and Cousin Naomi was there, but Cousin Caitlinn and Cousin Chris couldn't come. We hope to see them soon.
On Thanksgiving day, we went to Daddy's Godmother and Godfather's house for dinner. Grandma and Grandpa was there too. Chela cooked a big turkey, ham, and all the trimmings. There was so much food and they were all soooooo yummy!

After dinner, Chela gave us homemade costumes that she made. We each got to dress up as Pilgrims. Too bad I didn't have my Pochontas costume with me. That would have been cool to have Pilgrims and Indians! Maybe next year we can dress up again.

We hope everyone took the time to give thanks to God for the gift of sweet life and for the wisdom of those who have helped us see it more clearly. We pray that your Thanksgiving was filled with happy moments, simple pleasures and grateful hearts. Have a blessed, safe and Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Happy 2nd Heavenly Birthday Baby Joshua

Guess what today is? Today is baby Joshua's 2nd Heavenly Birthday! Happy Birthday baby brother. We miss you so very much. Yesterday, Mommy and Lola made Joshua 3 birthday cakes made out of flowers, so we can bring it to him later on today. They look beautiful. We also bought some balloons so we can send them to heaven today, so Joshua and the angels can play with them as they celebrate his birthday.

We went to visit Joshua's grave today. His birthday celebration today was joyous and lots of fun. Even though Mommy and Daddy was sad that Joshua is not here with us, they were also happy that he is now with Jesus. Mommy and Lola did a great job making Joshua's flower cake.

It was so much fun to sing "Happy Birthday" to Joshua. After his birthday song, we released a lot of balloons to send to heaven. Everyone that came (Lola, Lolo, Grandma, Grandpa and us) each had a balloon for Joshua. Our balloons had a race to see which one will get to heaven first. It looks like Brianna and Joseph's balloons won. I bet Joshua and the angels had lots of fun trying to catch all of our balloons.

Please visit Baby Joshua's website to view all the pictures that we took. Happy Birthday Joshua. We love you and miss you!

Boo! It's Halloween...

Horray! It's finally Halloween. Yesterday we had a Halloween Parade at school. We decided to wear our Halloween costumes from last year so that we can wear the new costumes on Halloween Day. Brianna wore her black kitty cat costume and Joseph wore his pirate costume. It was fun to see the other kids' costumes...We saw Batman, a ghost, and lots of princess. We even saw a mummy!
Today, we got up super early so mommy can dress us up in our costumes. Although we had to go to Catechism class today, mommy let us wear our costumes. Brianna was dressed as Pocahontas and Joseph was Spider-Man (the original Spider-Man and the Black Spider-Man). After class, we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa so we can start Trickor-Treating early! They didn't have any candies to give us, but that's okay, because they gave us $10 each. Whooaaa! That was cool. Mommy and Daddy said they will take us to Target tomorrow after church to pick out a toy. Grandma and Grandpa wanted to take us out to lunch, so we went to Islands. The servers were all in costumes. There was a fireman, a fairy, a gangster, and a gypsy. After lunch, we went home to get the candies ready for the Trick-or-Treaters. When the sun went down, Daddy took us door-to-door and the Lola and Lolo's house so we can say "Trick-or-Treat!" Mommy stays home, so she can pass out the candies to all the ghost and goblins.
When we got home, mommy and daddy looked over all the candies we got. Our buckets were soooooo heavy! Next year, mommy said we might dress up Denti and Shadow for Halloween so they can go trick-or-treating too! (lol) That would be so funny! Maybe they will get doggy treats! It was such a fun day! Time to got pick out new costumes for next year! Happy Halloween everyone! Hope you got lots of candies like us.

Lolo's Bday Celebration

Last Sunday, October 11th, we celebrated Lolo Bert's bday. He's actual birthday is on the 9th, but we had his party on Sunday, so everyone can attend. We also scheduled for a family portrait session so that we can have new pictures of everyone. Mommy took some pictures so that we can have an idea of how our professional photos will look like when our photographer sends them to us.

Lola cooked so much yummy food and she even had to-go boxes for each of us. Our tummies were so full by the end of the day. The pictorials was fun. We go to do a bunch of poses like make funny faces and jumps. As soon as we get the pictures, we'll be sure to post more so everyone can see them.

Cloud Watching

It was a beautiful day today. It wasn't too hot and it wasn't too cold. We went to church in the morning and then ate lunch. After lunch, we went to visit Baby Joshua. Mommy laid out a blanket for us to lay down on, so we can go cloud watching. There was so many clouds. We saw clouds that looked like a pirate ship, a dog, a fish, a sword, and a baby. Mommy said that Baby Joshua is probably cloud hopping in heaven. The clouds and the sky looked so pretty today. Mommy even saw a cloud that looked like a dragon. That was cool. After we went cloud watching, mommy and daddy took us to Griffith Park to ride the ponies. We got to ride the Medium horse. Next time, mommy and daddy said we might be able to ride the fast horse. That will be soooo much fun! We had a lot of fun with mommy and daddy today. It's fun to cloud watch and use our imagination to make shapes with the clouds. You should try it.

Mommy's Birthday

Today, is our mommy's birthday. When we woke up we sang her a happy birthday song and we gave her the cards we made for her. She said she loved it and gave us big hugs and kisses. Mommy said she spent her birthday morning with Tita Tina and Amilie. They ate breakfast, played and went shopping, ate lunch and then picked us up from school. When she got to school, we sang happy birthday to her again. When daddy got home, we took mommy to Acapulco for dinner. Lola and Lolo joined us! We ate some yummy food! Mommy ordered her favorite: Sea of Cortez (it's fish with butter-wine sauce! Yummy). Daddy ordered his usual, Tapiquena Steak. Jojo ordered pizza (go figure) and Brianna ordered what else, Mac N' Cheese! Lolo ordered some meat on a stick and Lola ordered the same thing as mommy. All the food tasted so yummy to our tummies. After dinner, the servers at the restaurant surprised mommy. They sang Happy Birthday in Spanish and brought her a flan as her birthday cake. Jojo got to blow the candle for mommy, When mommy finished eating her flan, she got to open some presents. Lola and Lolo gave her a purse, and a blouse. Cousin Amilie got mommy a small Coach purse. Daddy and us got mommy a sweater and a blouse. We hope mommy had lots of fun for her birthday! She told us that on Saturday, her best friend Corina is going to take her for a girls day out. We love you mommy!

Travel Town Fun

Mommy and daddy took us to Travel Town today to attend Jacob's 3rd Birthday party. It was so much fun! His grandma made a big Handy Mandy pinata and Felipe pinata. They were sooo cute!
We got in line to hit the pinata and when it was Joseph's turn, he knocked out Mandy's hand! That was cool! He got to keep it too! Then the all the little kids had their turn hitting Mandy the pinata, it was the big kids' turn to hit it, and that's when all the candies and some stuff animals came out. All the kids started running. Brianna got a puppy and Joseph got a big balloon and a lizard toy.

After the pinata game, Grandma took us to ride the train...that was so much fun! The train went around the park two times. We waved hi and bye to mommy and daddy as the train passed by! We wished the train went around some more, cuz that was a lot of fun. After the train, we went back to the party to eat some yummy cake.

When it was time to go, Jacob's mommy gave us goody bags, and we also go to keep one of the tool-box center piece. Mommy is planning on using it to hold our crayons and art supplies. That was a neat home-made project that they made. The birthday party was sooooo much fun! We can't wait till the next party. Until then, check out the pictures mommy took from today below. The train's leaving, so bye!

Dodgertown

Mom and dad decided to surprise us yesterday when they picked us up from school. They told us that we were going to Dodgertown to watch a baseball game. We were so excited to be going to our third baseball game ever! Yesterday's game was Dodgers versus Giants. Of course, we were all cheering for the Dodgers.

We had a great view of the field from our seats. The walk was too long though, cuz our legs were tired by the time we got to our seats. Mommy and Daddy bought us Dodger Dogs, pizza, and Panda food before the game started...it was sooo yummy! During the game, they also bought us cotton candies. The best part was when mommy came back with a little pink bat for Brianna and a little wood bat for Joseph. It was our souvenirs from the game.

Angry Hello KittyDodgers ended up loosing the game, but that's okay. We still had lots of fun. After the game, we stayed to watch the fireworks. It was sooo cool. They even did three happy face fireworks and four hearts fireworks. It was so pretty. By the time we got home, we were sooooo tired. It was past midnight! We can't believe we got to stay up that late. It was the best surprise ever!

Family BBQ

Our Lola Lita and Lolo Bert had a little BBQ party today for us! There was soooo much yummy food! They made BBQ Chicken, BBQ on a stick, Carne Asada, Sinigang (Sour Soup), Fish Relleno (Stuffed fish), and seafood curry! Mommy was in charged of cooking the Mexican rice and beans! Everything was so good! Our favorite was the sinigang soup and the carne asada with mommy's rice. It filled our tummies up!

Our cousin Chris and Cait brought their cute dog Milo. He's so much fun to play with. Lola's dog, Ginger, didn't really like to play with Milo. She kept barking and growling at him. They're so silly! Our little cousin Naomi rode bikes with us and played with the mermaid dolls. The only one missing was our baby cousin Amilie. Her mommy wasn't feeling good, so they didn't get to come to the BBQ! Tita Bern packed them some baon (to go food) so they could taste all the yummy food.

Caitlinn's mom and dad said we could sleep over at their house one of these weekends. That would be soooo much fun! We can't wait for the sleepover party!

First Day of School

Clapping Hello KittyWell, we made it! We survived our first day back to school. We were a little nervous about going to a new school, and whether or not we would make any new friends! Mommy assured us that there will be other kids who will be new to the school, and that we shouldn't worry because we will make new friends. Well guess what, she was right! Brianna made 2 new friends and Joseph too!

On our way to school, we saw three horses walking. They were really big. We also saw a horse right across the street from our school. There are a lot of horses by our school cuz it's close to ranches. Mommy said she will look and see if we can take horseback riding lessons. That would be neat.

Our new school had a really cool playground with a jungle gym that we can climb on. It was so much fun to play in there during recess and lunch. Mommy packed us lunch today (Chicken nuggets, fruits, cheese sticks, and juice boxes). We hope tomorrow she will give us lunch money so we can try the cafeteria food.

We're looking forward to this school year. We'll write more and let you know how it goes.

Our Mommy & Daddy's Wedding Day

Daisypath - Personal pictureDaisypath Anniversary tickers
God has graciously granted many blessings in our life. One of the greatest of them all was when I became a family. We know that love starts with "hearts and flowers", wedding bells and wedding rings, but a marriage like mine and Jose's includes so many other things. In fact, the "wedding" part is over when the ceremony ends. However, a life of working hard together to build a "marriage" and a "family" then begins. It all begain in the Spring of 1997 when Jose and I first met. We dated for 4 1/2 years before getting married on November 24, 2001. We are thankful that God continues to be the center of our marriage and family and pray that He will continue to bless us with many more years together.
